May 11, 2025- Fourth Sunday of Easter

“Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”  Christ alone secures salvation for believing Jews and Gentiles.  He temporally and eternally anchors those persecuted for believing, asserting, and preaching divine truths.  In the midst of strife, sin, disease, and death, God shepherds his people into eternity.  As His sheepish people, we listen to His voice.  So also we receive the living waters of Holy Baptism where He asserts His claim on us forever.

Readings:

Collect of the Day
Almighty God, merciful Father, since You have wakened from death the Shepherd of Your sheep, grant us Your Holy Spirit that when we hear the voice of our Shepherd we may know Him who calls us each by name and follow where He leads; through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

LWML Treatshop

LADIES:  Jesus Knows Me; This I Love!  Isn’t it wonderful that God knows us?  From the hairs on our heads to when we are asleep or awake, He knows.  Even more wonderful is His forgiveness and grace for us, even though He knows it all.

On August 9, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Indianapolis, we will explore that love for us at the treatshop.  A treatshop is a workshop and a retreat.  It will include wonderful Bible Studies, activities, educational breakout sessions, Christ-centered mission projects, lunch, and, of course, wonderful LWML fellowship and fun.  We hope you’ll plan to attend.

Complete the registration form and mail it along with your registration fee to Penny Letterman to let us know you’ll be there.  We look forward to hearing from you. (Registration forms can also be picked up in the church office.)

For ride sharing information please see Gloria Field or Cheryl Tellman.
