Ladies: October is a very busy month! Please take note of all that is going on and put these items on your calendar. We hope to see you at as many as possible. If you have any questions about any of the following please see Cheryl Tellman.
October 10th – LWML Kankakee Valley Zone Fall Rally-
The fall rally of the LWML Kankakee Valley Zone will be held at St. Peter on October 10th at 9:00am central time. Our guest speaker will be Laurie Hayn, a major farm accident survivor from Plymouth, IN. A carry-in lunch will be served. The main dish will be provided. Please bring a side, salad or dessert to share if you are able. The ingathering will be nonperishable food items for the seminary food co-op.
October 11 – LWML Sunday at St. Peter
We will be observing LWML Sunday at St. Peter on October 11 during our morning worship service. Please collect all your loose coins and place them in the offering box under the television. These will go to support LWML mission grants. For a complete list of mission grants currently being funded please see the bulletin board. You may also bring your coins for mites to the church office at any time. Thank you for your generosity and mission mindedness. Please let Cheryl Tellman know if you would be willing to provide one or two dozen cookies for Bible Class refreshments that morning.
October 13 – Seminary Donation Day
For more than a century, supporters of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), have gathered donations and brought them to campus to provide for Seminary families. You are invited to join us for a fun morning at the seminary on October 13th beginning at 8:30am eastern time. You are invited to bring donations of food, clothing, household goods, and other necessities to the church between September 27 and October 11. Co-op wish lists are available in the church office.
October 15 LWML Gathering and Cottage Bible Study Kickoff
On October 15 we will be gathering from 6:00 – 8:00pm for a short LWML information session followed by our annual Cottage Bible Study Kickoff. A light supper will be served and child care provisions are in the works. For our Bible study this year we will be enjoying seven Mountain Top Journeys with Jesus. There is no cost for the study guide, but we do want to make sure we print enough copies, so if you are interested in participating we are asking that you sign the sheet in the church office.
