Witness Always — Daily Investigations
During Lutheran Schools’ Week, we will be focusing on people WITNESSed the events of Holy Week. The things they saw and heard changed their lives forever. After watching the Investigation video, students will watch throughout the day to see who they WITNESS demonstrating the same trait as the Investigation Witness of the Day. Students will write or draw about that WITNESS at the end of each day.

Songs of Encouragement
Click “Fear Not! For I Am With You!” to watch the song performed by the whole school.
Click “Trading My Sorrows” to watch the song performed by the 7th and 8th graders.
On Sunday, November 17th, the lives of many were changed forever because of the devastating tornadoes that struck Illinois and Indiana. One congregation that was affected was St. John Lutheran Church in New Minden, Illinois. This is the home congregation of our 7th and 8th grade teacher. Students at St. Peter Lutheran School made encouragement cards and have been praying those affected by the storms.
On the day before Thanksgiving, students gathered together to sing “Fear Not!” as a message of encouragement to the people of St. John. May the words of the song also encourage anyone experiencing a storm in life to remember that God is always with you.
The song is based on the words of Isaiah 43:1-2 —— “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters; I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
The 7th and 8th graders also shared the song “Trading My Sorrows” which encourages all to remember that the joy of the Lord uplifts us in our times of struggles.
